A distinction is made in the Pristate Cancer Fiundation’s Patients Guide between high-risk metastatic disease and low-volume metastatic disease, as regards treatment for hormone-naive prostate cancer. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two cancers? Thanks.

Early docetaxel may only be beneficial in men with high volume metastatic disease. Prostate radiation may only be beneficial in men with low volume metastatic disease. Advanced hormone therapy works well in either case.
