Has anyone seen the new news report about a cancer drug that’s curing cancer?? If so do you know what it’s called???

Doug,

You may be thinking of larotrectinib. It is apparently useful for various cancers that happen to have a specific mutation in their DNA. Only a relatively small number of cancer patients have this mutation and I don't know if many or any prostate cancer patients do. The drug is not a cure. However it produces remissions in a majority of patients, with the extent and duration of the remission varying from patient to patient.

This drug is a little pricey..."Vitrakvi will have a wholesale acquisition cost of $32,800 a month for a 30-day supply of 100 milligram capsules. That's $393,600 annually...But fear not ! Bayer says they will refund your money if it doesn't work ! That's a step in the right direction..
