Has anyone had this associated with MCRPC?

BFF (best friend 4ever) hubby in ER a week ago due to dizziness, vertigo, very low BP. Currently he is on Zytiga break due to high liver enzymes (coming down nicely). Dx = Vascovagal Syndrome, Dehydration. Med Onc wants to continue Zytiga break, reevaluate in 3 wks. PCP (who also doc of Internal Medicine) suspects adrenals playing a role here vs potassium levels. Her DH is NOT MCRPC, rather MPCA, mets to bones. Hosp gave medicine to treat vertigo which is helping. Standing for extended periods can also be problematic. Hosp did mention inner ear issues can also cause this, but no evidence of this w/him @ this point.

Consider a good pair of Support Stockings to keep blood from pooling in legs = not enough circulating to brain, + plenty of water, maybe sports drinks w/electrolytes. This advice from ME only from my experience as wife, daughter, caregiver X 2. :-) His DW (Dear Wife) tells him to get up slowly from bed or sitting position vs jumping up quickly.

I became a member here b/c of our enduring friendship of over 50 years. Needed to learn, lend support in any way I could. She is now a member. Maybe she will chime in later, as they are currently out of town. I hope this link helps:

Not to frighten or alarm, but now is the time to telephone your doctor. Blacking out is a significant symptom. Do not drive, etc until you speak with your doctor. If you’re told to go to er or doctor office, call a friend (or 911) to help get you there

Yes, Darryl is 100% correct. Friend not driving for several days. Should not drive until checked out by a doc or as long as dizziness continues. Who knows when will happen again or black out behind the wheel. Safer for the public as well. Don't want to risk losing driver's license in case of accident. You are a potential Fall Risk right now if still dizzy. Cancer patients do not need broken hips or broken bones of any kind to complicate matters any further.

Let us know what you find out.

Again, Best Wishes

In my husband's case, the blackout upon exertion was due to a clogging of the aortic valve with calcium buildup. The valve was a birth defect, bicuspid instead of the normal tricuspid. The buildup was probably exasperated by the 8 years on ADT and the consumption of 1 gram of calcium supplement/day. It took nearly 6 weeks to get diagnosed, tested, approved for the surgical procedure, scheduled and then rescheduled due to a football game. He barely made it.
