PSA now up to 16. Rising a point every two days. Went to MD Anderson. Starting a new clinical trial Sunday. We shall see what they can do. Stage 4, Zytiga stopping working after 11 months

Diagnosed July 1, 2017, PSA 104 then, Gleason 5+4, BRCA 2 mutation is the key to trial

Thank you for your response. I am praying this combination knocks your cancer out. Please keep us informed, and I will let you know how my husband is doing on the olaparib and Keytruda.

Was it a somatic mutation (in the tumor) or a germline mutation (in all your cells). What is the clinical trial for - Keytruda? a PARP inhibitor? carboplatin?

Since it follows his family and his son has it ….doesn't that imply a germline mutation?

Probably - but they are different tests.

I also have the BRCA2 gene alteration, as determined by Strata Oncology.

They listed three trials that are in progress now : rucaparib, MK-1775 and olaparib, so two are PARP inhibitors

One of my trial drugs is a PARP inhibitor and one is an immunotherapy. They take my blood today to start.

Do you know the drug in the trial or the trial number?

My prayers are with you. I was diagnosed in July 2016, PSA 8.25 and gleason score 9. I have a germline mutation of the ATM gene. I would be interested to hear how the trial goes. Keep up the fight.
