QUESTION — does this result relate to when zytiga is given to men who are NEWLY diagnosed ONLY?

What about when the Prostate cancer has reaccured?

Hi, yes. Originally, Abiraterone was an end of life drug. The Stampede trial was to see what happened if given at dx.

Tommy, how's everything going with you? Are you still suppressing the cancer well? I cant get them to start zytiga for me because I dont have any visible cancer on my scans even though my psa doubles every three weeks during Lupron breaks.

Hi George

Things are still good. PSA still immeasurable. Suffering from severe muscle wastage though, making it difficult to walk. All Mets behaving😃

Good chart but the question that still remains in my mind is what would charts show if they compared using zytiga + Lupron from the start vs. doing Lupron only and then adding zytiga when the psa starts to rise? They didn't really compare that in the study. They stopped at the point where the Lupron only started to weaken in it's effect.

Any of you have thoughts about that? You're right that it used to be an end of life drug but the point when Lupron alone starts to weaken in effect is usually far from end of life.

Your question relates to the original use for the drug, which was an end of life after you became CRPC. The OS rate was 14 months.

What these charts show is the vast difference at 3 years between Zoladex/ Lupron on its own at dx, and the addition of Zytiga and Prednisone at dx.

Hope that’s clear. These results are remarkable by any standard.
