Between one and a half weeks and three weeks ago someone wrote a post about using chemotherapy prior to Provenge to kill some cells with the goal of making room for the development of Provenge induced killer cells. I would like to re-read that post and know more about its background, but I am unable to find it. Can someone point me to the post?

Combining immunotherapy with either chemo or radiation is a great idea. This article discusses the rationale for combining radiation and immunotherapy, but it is much the same for chemo and immunotherapy:
There is an added benefit to combining chemo and immunotherapy because the immune-suppressive effect of the chemo is countered by the immune stimulation. Leukine has traditionally been given to docetaxel patients if their white blood cell count gets too low.
There are several clinical trials now that combine docetaxel with various immunotherapies.
