Exotic cures or traditional medication?? for my cancers?

I'm seeing a lot of people looking for success in treating their various cancers with exotic and quite radical treatments. I am a volunteer with the cancer association of South Africa and contribute to many blogs so I do see a desperate search for solutions from many people in a variety of forums and countries. I have been through 5 diagnoses, including 2 x malignant melanoma, 2 x stage 4 Gliobastomer brain tumour and a stage 4 prostate cancer. All of these were primary cancers and not a metastasis of another. But the point I wish to make is that Through it all I have stuck to traditional medication and treatment as prescribed by my various medical professionals. Added to all my prescribed medical potions is my own mental toughness and desire to beat the demon living within me. My doctors have told me that my attitude goes a long way towards my success in winning my battles including those brain tumours where, 5 years ago, I was told I may have just 5 months to live.

Have faith in your doctors guys, they have spent years training to give you their best.

Too true Big Rich and further to my earlier post I guess nits easy for me to sit in my success at tackling cancer when I have been fortunate to have some of the best and most forward thinking medical practitioners wherever I have been,

That goes for my prostate cancer diagnosis in Michigan 2006 where I was operated on at U o M oncology clinic by surgeons who were, at the time, leading the way with the Da Vinci Robotic procedure.

And right through to my Glioblastomer diagnosis, here in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where my surgeon gave me the dire terminal prognosis but went ahead and removed the golf ball sized tumour from my brain even though he warned it would very likely recur, as glio's tend to do. But when the recurrence did happen within 12 months and now the size of a large egg he took the incredibly positive steps of removing again but this time implanting chemo laced wafers into my brain to lie directly on the tumour roots, killing them over time and preventing another recurrence. I have had 4 clear brain scans since those wafers were implated.

Now my Port Elizabeth Urologist has handled my recurring and steadily increasing PSA over the years with various treatments that has kept me metastasis free and now enjoying two consecutive undetectable PSA results for the first time since 2006.

So yes, I have been blessed with some of the best medical practitioners, and yes, I can understand those who are constantly struggling to make headway with their recovery why they would look for and turn to some less traditional treatments especially around the globe in different cultures.

In fact, I wrote a book about my twelve year successful journey through 5 cancers which Amazon are selling around the world so I get many E mail queries from around the world asking for my secret.

One gentleman from India asked if I had drank cow urine as a natural remedy for my cancer!

I actually no longer drink beer but I would rather have a glass of that than a glass of cow urine!

Good luck all you fellow warriors. You are not alone in this fight.
