No chemo round 8

I got out of the hospital with my pneumonia just in time for christmas. Chest xray was clear. But less than 5 days later, i have a new productive cough and low fever (99-100) since this past weekend. But at least its not 103. Cbc confirmed im not nuetropenic. So also some good news. I got a new chest xray yesterday and am waiting to get results. But MO didnt clear me for chemo this week. Im super disapointed. I know that 6-8 rounds is the norm, but up until this pneumonia i had felt so good that i was excited to keep going and killing this cancer gor as long as possible. Now im in bed at home, have a fever and cough, and worried that my PSA will start climbing. Hopefully i can kick this and MO agrees to pushing more rounds.

Thursday I go in for round 7. Still hoping to knock this stuff down. Started Xtandi last Thursday as an add on to Lupron and taxotere. Hope it can turn PSA around and start it down again... Get well and good luck with your extension of chemo...

Just got a call from the MO! New xray is still clear! So despite my fever and hacking cough, they dont think its a pneumonia relapse. I was told to prepare for chemo monday morning assuming labs are still good!
