Here's the latest study I found. Lots of details, but looked like it was still being studied in mice. The UK company that was trying to commercialize it may or may not have gotten it off the ground? Or, if they have, might be looking to commercialize it first as an eye drop alternative for wet macular degeneration patients as opposed to, literally, "a shot in the eye" of another agent, such as Avastin (bevacizumab).
