I'm looking for a provider in North Carolina (who accepts insurance) to manage my ADHD medication. So far, I haven't had much luck. I was seeing a PA who prescribed Ritalin after we talked for 20 min.
I want to find someone who has some experience with adults and some knowledge of the effects on women. Also, someone who would take a holistic approach taking into consideration my physical and mental health history. Has anyone in the NC area had luck finding a good provider? If so, could you please share their contact with me? Thanks!

I’m not in that area, unfortunately. I would ask your insurance for a list of providers, then google search each one. All providers have to have a synopsis and a list of their specialties. I remember women issues is a thing on many lists too.
There’s also a Facebook group about ADHD and has a messaging group about women’s issues with ADHD. Lmk if you are interested.
here is the link to the group. When you join, it will ask what messenger groups you want to be in. Do the women’s issues one. You can also contact the office or do a first meet with the provider and ask about their women’s experience. I like my counselor who is a woman with ADHD, so we get along just fine. I’m in Michigan and she’s in Florida so we do Telehealth. She is quite knowledgeable on everything I need.
