Neucon 36mg

I’ve been taking Neucon 36mg which is the equivalent of Concerta 36mg for the last 3 years.

I take the drug for work productivity to improve concentration, control impulses and increase my confidence in the workplace.

I’ve had great success in my work using the stimulant.I recently started taking it over the weekends to try and help me in social situations and confidence in going to places, not to mention reducing anxieties when going to places.

I’m still unsure as to whether I should be taking the drug over the weekend due to the side effects I normally experience.

The one that is most annoying is have to go to the loo almost immediately after taking it and then 1 or 2 times thereafter after and hour or 2.After that my stomach is settled and I’ve found I’ve lost quite a lot of weight as a result.I also experience more perspiring than normal and I have noticed some times when I had blurred vision.

Overall it does what it says and if you have any experience with the above please let me know?

My question I guess is should I be taking the drug over weekend considering the pros and cons?

I would love to know if you have any experience with any methalaphenadite

Thank you

I take my meds 7 days a week. My ADHD is 7 days a week. It's wrong in my view to think of ADHD as only a work problem. In fact, ADHD interferes with relationships and personal life and everything else. ADHD makes it hard to plan fun! Or create structure on weekends.

Relationships are important. Being able to follow what people are saying without getting worn out--that's huge. I'm lucky that I have a job that is compatible with my ADHD.

Also car accidents, addiction tendencies and on and on--those tendencies don't stop on Saturday and Sunday.

Just my two cents.

Agree, you wouldn’t stop for example thyroid medication or blood pressure tablets at the weekend. I occasionally miss a dose if I have slept very late otherwise I’d be up all night. If the side effects are bothersome you need to discuss with the prescriber as that’s clearly the issue here. Hope you get sorted out.

Thanks I do agree with what you’re saying here…this is in fact the reason I’m wanting to take this 7 days a week.

The side effects are a bit bothersome specially when I’m not working however as Betsy74 said I should talk to the prescriber about it.

I’m thinking of lowering the dosage to 27mg and seeing if that is the sweet spot.If that doesn’t work I’ll try amphetamines and work through the dosage spectrum.

Hopefully I’ll get the answer soon…
