That was great! Thank you for sharing. There will be times when we can’t laugh, so I say laugh all you can, when you can! I had forgotten what it was like to laugh and be happy!
I got a good laugh out of this meme!
Halfway through reading it (which is saying something, because it's so short), and thought:
"My little girl would love to see that unicorn picture, with the hearts, and the pink background...
"Then she would be inspired to make her own picture like that, and she would disappear for 40 minutes (meme-while, I would go down the rabbit hole of reading a hundred or so memes in the same span of time)...
"She would show me her version created by her own two hands, we would put her masterpiece on the fridge for all in our household to see, we would finally start doing what we were supposed to do before the pleasant distraction.
" And later on, I would find her scissors, pencil and crayons left out, paper cuttings on the floor from making the paper hearts, and glitter glue on something that it has no business being stuck on (like a table or a bookshelf or carpet)!"
(...Meanwhile, her brother would take advantage of our mutual distraction and start playing video games.)
😆 Ahhhh...the joys of being ADHD with kids who probably are, too.
(I've been diagnosed. They haven't been assessed yet, but probably should be, because their two grown siblings are each scheduling assessments for themselves, due to my diagnosis and everyone's shared distractibility.)
