Just been put on Pristiq for my anxiety.

Has anyone had experience with this?

How long before you felt the good vibes?!

My first dose is tonight

hi Morgs89, welcome to the community. I don't have any experience with pristiq. How are you doing?

Not bad,

Been a wild ride. Not just the recent diagnosis haha

What’s your connection with ADHD?

my connection to adhd? Mostly my son who is now an adult but still struggles. He was diagnosed as a child. My daughter was diagnosed as an adult and my husband is undiagnosed. ADHD has been in my life for 34 years

I’ve done quite a bit obsessing since my diagnosis, I believe I relate with the woman side of the symptoms. As there was a lot of anxiety in the family home growing. My pristiq dosage has been doubled.

I am feeling better now. 🙃

If it wasn’t for my wife I would never of been diagnosed. She is my rock.

Do you know of any groups for partners she can join? She has just left a group because it was more complaints then anything.

Are you adhd also?

Or struggle with any mental illness or sorts? (You don’t need to answer if you don’t want)

sorry, no i don't know of any groups for partners that your wife could join.

I do not have ADHD but do suffer from anxiety and had two episodes of depression in the past. I do not currently take anything as I mostly experience anxiety flare ups during any kind of medical crises, for instance last year I had my gallbladder out - before the surgery I was a basket case. Post surgery during my leave from work time I was also quite anxious.

Was on pristiq for 5 years. Noticed some difference within 2 weeks. Was good until it stopped working for me. Withdrawals are very difficult if you ever have to get off it. Even switching from pristiq to another is very hard.
