My 6 year old recently started Vyvanse. It works great during the day but it’s like all the extra energy comes back when it wears off in the evenings and he’s much crazier than normal. It’s almost impossible to get him to bed. I try to make sure he still gets a lot of exercise during the day. Any advice for making the bedtime come down easier?

(I haven't been on here in months, but had to respond to this one that caught my eye.) So, our then 6 yo (now 8 yo) had the same issue. Our solution was to give it to him the second he woke up in the morning (which is early), so it wore off earlier & we could negotiate that trough period a little earlier, when there was also more play time/natural stimulation/leeway. We also added guanfacine ER at night (not for that reason, but because he was having some more serious behavioral stuff going on for a while), so that helped slow him down and really helped him sleep. Melatonin never worked that well for him. Hope that helps & hang in there!
