My son has been horrible all day!

He's in his room now pitching an epic fit. He's in there throwing things, kicking the walls, and yelling at me. He has told me I'm a crappy parent and I'm the reason his life is so bad. He is telling me I need to learn how to be a better and treat my kid right. He has been acting out like crazy all day!! We went to the grocery store earlier and it about gave me a mental breakdown. He wants his way and I won't give in. His backtalk and attitude is ridiculous. He is extremely disrespectful and I don't know what else to do. He is so out of control and I am at my wits end with him. Ugghh! I'm just ranting. I'm just so fed up.

Nahnah, My wife and I understand what you’re going through we have six kids like that. You will need to find a way to get some time for yourself. Hopefully there are family members that can take the child for a few hours so that you can recharge.

We all have been there so I am sure everybody understands.

I am not sure what is your situation but medication coupled with individual cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy works wonder for us. We went from insane situations (such as the one you described) to manageable ones.

Is he on meds? Maybe there is an imbalance as well.

We changed 4 times the combo in 6 months. Now we found what works.

Your son can not control his emotions and that is part of having ADHD.
