My 8 yr old son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in 1st grade. He currently is on medication, but we are still having problems at school. I reside in the Portland, Oregon area, and am looking for parenting groups. I am frustrated at the lack of sources we have.

I just wanted to say that I feel the same frustration. I hope you find groups locally. We live in MA, and have had a terrible time finding other parents of small kids with ADHD. Finding psychiatrists and therapists and pediatric doctors that aren't in Boston and that don't have a 6 month to a year waiting list is also impossible. This forum seems to be very proactive though, and there are a lot of supportive parents here, based on my short experience here.
