After years of battling in pain & trying all sorts of pills, meds & coils & physio. I have finally been put on the waiting list for a hysterectomy. This feels the last resort for me. I have tried everything& my womb pain is ruling my life now.
Can i please ask anyone's experiences.
*did you feel better after having a hysterectomy?
* how long did you wait on the NHS?
Any stories, tips & advice is really appreciated 💜

I feel your pain. I had my hysterectomy in May 2021. I went through all the usual pains, zoladex and stuff and they found I had adenomyosis hence bye bye womb. I waited around 5 months for mine, I guess it depends on your hospital, but wait times last year were not too bad.
I felt pretty horrific after I had it done, you really do need all the time they suggest to recover. I had about 3 months being completely pain free and had my quality of life back. unfortunately I got some new pains that are not gynae issues, but it might be related.
I've heard that hysterectomys are not a cure all end all situation, but if it can help a bit, why not.
Good luck with yours and hope you will get relief once you've had it done.
