Hi 👋🏻

I have recently been diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. I also have a Conditions called Livedo Reticularis and this means I can not take Hormone Replacement Therapies, like the contraceptive pill. I am not ready for a hysterectomy. Has anyone had any luck with more natural remedies helping with hormone balance? Supplements, diet etc?

Thanks

Clare. x

Hi there

I have both endo and adeno, I am lucky in that I can take the hormones, however I must say I am still in a lot of pain. I have only had the diagnosis for a couple of years and I no where near in control of everything, but I found the book that is recommended by endometriosis UK about diet very helpful: "Endometriosis: A Key to Healing And Fertility Through Nutrition" . Changing my diet (whilst difficult and horrible at first) really helped. It did take about 6 weeks whilst on it for me to notice the change (I had almost given up) but after that the reduction in pain has meant that I have stuck to a lot of the major recommendations for about a year now. So its worth ago. It also mentions vitamins etc that you should supplement your diet with and gives a lot of, very scientific, background on the diseases, which I know that I was not informed about by my consultant.

Hopefully that is of some help. Also I am sure that you will get other people with better knowledge than me who can help out, have you posted on the endometriosis UK forum board yet?? It might be worth while doing so.

Good Luck!
