Dont ever give up

Hi,

On Friday I finally realised that I have adenomyosis as well as endometriosis. This diagnosis has given me a name to call my daily pelvic pain for the past 11 years. It has been an awful journey to get here after 7 laparoscopies and many treatments for the pain. I was often told that there is no reason for my pain and that it is of a mental nature. Please don't ever let anyone convince you that this is the case! We woman know our bodies and know when something in our pelvis does not seem right!

I suffered and suffer from heavy periods with large clots, fatigue, daily pelvic pain, pain down my thighs and back and also anxiety. Endometriosis was removed twice as well as 5 ovarian cysts.

xx

Oh wow! Can I ask how you realised you have adeno in addition to endo? Asking because the symptoms are the same. That is amazing that it was missed in 7 laparoscopies. Did they give you a hysteroscopy? How was your adeno diagnosed in the end? Mine was diagnosed during a laparoscopy.

Hi, My doctor has always thought my pain was from adenomyosis and I also responded well from the GNRH injection at a time when endo was not visible at laparoscopy. I recently had a transvaginal ultrasound and there was a intramural growth in my womb. Endo was seen in 2 laps but not visible in other laparoscopies. It's been a very tough road but glad i never gave up.
