Hi

Just reading some of the posts and just wondered if anyone knows of anything on the market to cover up the effects of Pts? I suffered a blood clot in my left leg and 2yrs after that took another in left thigh, I now suffer with PTS as a result, my calf is badly discoloured and I'm looking for something to cover it up, I'm so fed up not being able to wear skirts/dresses, I always have to cover it as its unsightly(to me anyway) I'm going abroad on holiday and really don't want to be wearing trousers for the 2 weeks! Can anyone recommend anything that would cover it, I've tried fake tan but it didn't work, thanks

Just wear skirts and dresses as you wish as you notice the discolouring more than anyone else does. I think you can get special make up that helps to cover it up from your gp that they can prescribe them for you.

I really wish I could, it really bothers me, I'm so conscious of it and you're probably right, I'll notice it more than anyone else does but I know it's there, thanks very much, I'll see my doctor about this, I didn't know that 😁

That's the thing with scarring is that you know you have it and are conscious of it and feel everyone else does as well and it plays on your mind psychologically and can damage your self confidence.

I think a lot of it's to do with how you feel in yourself is to do with wearing skirts or dresses or not and to think screw you to the scarring and not let it dictate you wearing skirts and dresses as you please.

Good luck!

Thanks so much Jo, I just said that to my daughter the other day, I seen a beautiful I said would be great for our holiday and what a pity I couldn't wear it, we got home and I kept thinking about the bloody dress 😂 so I said to my daughter you know what, to hell with it, I'm going to get it and wear it on holiday! I'm determined I'm not going to let this bloody leg ruin my life anymore! So I'm going to buy it next time I'm in the store 😁 thanks for taking the time to get back to me
