I'd appreciate input from anyone who has been diagnosed or treated by a urologist or radiation oncologist in the Denver-Colorado Springs area. Thank you in advance.

Urologist and RO in or near Denver - Colorado Springs areas

We live in Colorado Springs. My husband had RT with Dr Zhou, RO, UC Health in Colo Springs. Dr Robbin, RO at UC Health in Denver did the fiducials. Hubs sees Dr Toefler, a urologist at UC Health in the Springs. We consulted Mayo in AZ, but decided to do treatment locally. Wishing you the best.
Mtnhigh, could you share any details about your experience and satisfaction with Drs. Zhoe and Toepfer?
My husband is happy with his treatment. He had 20 sessions of IMRT about 18 months ago. His latest psa was .48. He was 3+4 unfavorable. He didn't do adt although it was recommended. He did do markers but no spacer. Really no side effects except a bout of shedding scar tissue for a few days. He really liked the radiation techs at uchealth central. He also likes Dr Zhou. She really pushed for adt and spacer, but in the end respected his decisions. He used RO Dr Robbin in denver to put in markers. Highly recommend him. If we'd been closer to den would have used him. Dr zhou was at mayo in FL before coming to CO. He likes the urologist, Dr Tophler (sp?) also. He's only seem him once. He switched uros after diagnose and biopsy. So far so good for hubs (who is 79)
You are welcome. I wish you the best in your treatments decisions.
