Lidocaine infusions for chronic pain

Hi

This has been suggested by a consultant I saw privately (local NHS waiting list horrendous.)

But have discovered lidocaine infusions not available locally on NHS. LI are available privately, which must suggest this is a question of saving money by CCG rather than 'unethical to prescribe?'

I am in the Bristol area but am prepared to travel for upto a couple of hours.

Thanks

I have regular lidocaine infusions every 3 months at UCLH.
