Spondylolisthesis

Hello does anyone on here have Stage 1 Spondylolisthesis of the spine, in particular L5/S1?

If so were you offered an injection, did it work for pain? How long does it really last?

Does targeted physio help with strength and pain or will I suffer indefinitely and have to resort to surgery in the end?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have stage 1 on L5/S1.Ive had it for 3 years.

Ive had the injections twice and both times didn’t really have any effect unfortunately.

I have been told by a neurosurgeon I will eventually need an operation but the pain clinic said it may never get to that.

I’ve also had physio on and off which also hasn’t really helped and they also tried acupuncture which again had no effect.

Remember, though, everyone is different so what didn’t work for me may help your pain x
