Pacemaker malfunction?

I have had a pacemaker for 3 1/2 years. Last week the tech from the manufacturer, St. Judea Medical, checked it out as he has always done every six months and found that I had been experiencing PACs. My cardiologist has started me on Warfarin to ward against a possible stroke.

Does this mean my pacemaker is no longer doing its job?

This is something you need to speak with your cardiologist about as we don't know why the pacemaker was inserted specifically for you. I would venture a guess that now they are treating you like you have a-fib. Atrial fibrillation. This is where your atria are beating but not allowing your blood to flow through your heart normally, be careful, remind your Dr you have Hughes ( I'm assuming you do, because you're on this site). This could cause a double whammy for you. Best to speak with your doctor, sooner rather than later, to be sure he remembers/ knows this. Good luck 🍀. Cindy in NJ

Apologies, I just realized this wasn't on the Hughes site, good luck 👍
