I'm sorry to hear that your tinnitus has returned Momoko79. Habituation though is a process with ups and downs, and having a month of no problems is great - it's real progress. I'm sure that this is just a small step backwards, and perhaps even by the time I'm writing this, your noises will be less.

Do try not to worry about how things are today, or monitor your tinnitus - easier said than done, I know - but honestly, all the work so far will not be undone by one bad day.

Warmest wishes

Nic (BTA Communications Manager and Forum Administrator)

Thank you for your reply NicBTA..

my T is caused by what ever is making my middle ear inflamed, with pain and swelling .. when that goes down and the fullness dies down my T vanishes.. problem is no one can see what’s going on behind the ear drum, my ear canal and ear drum look fine, although a couple of GP’s have said they can see some narrowing and redness in my left ear, when I’ve gone to them before when it’s been really bad..

I’ve got a MRI next week so let’s see if anything shows up.

Hi, have you had a cold or sinus or allergy problems. I have same sort of problems as you I had my tinnitus down to a low level until the summer with hayfever.then ear fullness started and this is off and on since.i'm getting allergy tested, just waiting on results. I get some facial pain so it's sinus related mine. Tinnitus noise goes up and down

No I’ve not had a cold recently or allergic to anything that I’m aware off, I’ve been suffering with this on and off for 3 years now, something physical is going on in my left ear.. feels like inflammation, pain, fullness and the T is a symptom to what ever is going on, definitely feels middle ear to me and I

Do get pain from my ear to my throat sometimes. Have you tried some homeopathic ear drops called TRP ring stop? I’ve been using them recently when my ear has a flare up, I find they take about 12hours to start feeling some relief but they take the fullness sensation away, not fully but enough to calm my T down, they were expensive and cost me £18 off eBay.
