I don't have any experience of using these apps but I know of them through working with my wife. They are designed by hearing aid manufacturers and play masking noises.

There is Tinnitus Sound by Oticon, ReSound Relief by ReSound and Starkey Relax by Starkey. They are available from the Google PlayStore and Apple App Store. They are all free to purchase.

I experimented with the sound apps before I purchased my Oasis sound generator and sometimes use them as background noise at work if my tinnitus is particularly difficult but this is about all.

I don't use apps either but on occasion if I am having a really bad day, I listen to sounds on You Tube on my tablet just to try and break up the incessant noise and get some relief from it.

Hi, Nic,

I tried a free app from the Apple app store but it didn't work on my phone. I'm currently trying a paid-for Tinnitus Help app as it had good reviews. It can play a mix of nature sounds and white noise which can be combined with music on my phone. I have tinnitus in one ear but I have yet to notice any difference. It just gives me something different to listen to, until I stop it and then it's back to the T. For me it just pauses the T.

Respectfully submitted,

Keoni

Hi I have managed my T by eating a healthy diet (no processed food, low salt & sugar) relaxation, Yoga and cardio exercise, keeping an eye on my blood pressure. When it’s bad I listen to pink noise to get to sleep which helps.
