Need advice- MO recommending radiation. From the wording in the PSMA scan it sounds like a shot in the dark.
The wording in the scan sounds to me like it’s not sure that this is cause of his rising
PSA
. Why subject him to radiation if not sure? I’m just not sure what even to ask. Is radiation called for? I Btw, thought the MO had ordered the scan prematurely.

Radiation after triple therapy?
PSA
.2 as of beginning of 6th cycle. Meeting with MO on Tuesday and seeking recommendations of further treatment. Currently, I have no pain. My thought is to use RT to control metastasis and prevent future fractures. Is this a good time in my treatment to begin RT?

Cured after LU177
My brother-in-law had prostate cancer in his bones with a
PSA
in the hundreds. He went to Germany and had two treatments of LU177. He came back to the US, had a scan, and says he is now cured. Is that possible?

Casodex after castration resistance?
After being undetectable on mono HT (Zoladex) for 67 months my dad's
PSA
started climbing in December 2022. In March it was 0.05. His testosterone level also rose from 0.6 to 1.2. The doctor recommended to add Casodex. After a month, in April his
PSA
was 0.024 and testosterone was 0.9.

Now Undetectable PSA on BAT Regimen
My
PSA
has continued to decline on this regimen. It was down by 90% in January 2023 to 0.030. Now it has become undetectable <0.015. These were measured at towards the end of the ADT month of each cycle. So my next step will be to measure it during the high testosterone phases.

CHAMP Trial/Small Cell Chemo Update
His
PSA
had been undetectable so it really threw us for a loop. My dad finished 6 sessions of carbo & etoposide chemo about 3 weeks ago. He is still randomly vomiting and very weak with a low hemoglobin. He had a scan Wednesday and met with his doc, Dr.

Lymph node treatments
Note my
PSA
has risen from 0.27 in November to .49 in April I started Xtandi in June 2022 when my
PSA
was 0.69 and it quickly dropped to 0.40 in July but has slowly but steadly climbed back up Is the rise in
PSA
a result of this mild progression of disease in the lymph nodes or resistance to Xtandi

Requesting Help to Develop Bespoke BAT
Generally, if no treatments at all
PSA
doubling time is very short – around 3.5 weeks (which should be taking into consideration while developing BAT protocol). Always have high estrogen when normal testosterone, so that should be controlled during SPT.

UPDATE
Had my 3 month lupron injection yesterday and
PSA
checked. I have been on xtandi since last June,
PSA
yesterday was 0.08. Three months ago it was 0.16. The PA told me most men on xtandi’s run last between 2 and 3 years. I hope she is wrong in my case. Any one have any thoughts about this.

April 2023 Update
My
PSA
was <0.01 and my T was <0.02 in October 2022. I had blood tests in April 2023 (after 6 months) and my
PSA
was <0.01 and my T had risen to 4. My Oncologist wants
PSA
tests every six months and will only intervene if the
PSA
rises to 2.0.

Xtandi vs. Biktarby advice needed.
I received my second Lupron injection last week even though there's a slight
PSA
increase from .83 to 1.10 (they did not do a testosterone test, wich was climbing again) Oncologist mentioned we could start Xtandi but also suggested to wait for my next month labs and see what's
PSA
doing.

Please share your experiences with Provenge. What’s it like getting the injections and what are your results?
I started the Eclipse clinical trial three weeks ago with
PSA
of 3.3 and am authorized for up to four treatments. My plan is to start Provenge after the trial is over. What do you guys think about this?

Hello everyone...
It was in August 2022 that my primary care became alarmed after my
PSA
returned, and it was 77 plus, that I likewise became alarmed by the fact that I must deal with prostate cancer.
