Laparoscopy next week, what’s the process like?
Hi everyone, I’m finally getting my diagnostic lap next week after two cancellations, one for covid and one for the queens funeral. Now that it’s really happening I’m realising that I have a lot of fears surrounding the procedure itself and I’d appreciate any advice you have for me. I’m scared of the

Diagnosis Issue
Both gynae doctors were convinced I have Endometriosis but both declined for me to have a
laparoscopy
claiming I’m too young (I’m 26) and that we need to try other avenues. I’m concerned we are going down a path that is putting out the smoke but not the fire.

Hi everyone😊 I was diagnosed with Endo early last year (even though I’m certain I’ve had it for about 9 years). First laparoscopy- what to bring/have for post surgery and recovery
I’m due my first
laparoscopy
for suspected endometriosis next week. If they find it they will remove what they can as it is with an endo specialist. My question is do you have any suggestions of any useful things I will need pre/post surgery and for recovery?

Written Warning for Absence due to Endo
Was diagnosed in 2020 through diagnostic
laparoscopy
and then didn't have symptoms for 8 months which was bliss but then it's since come back. I'm due for an internal ultrasound (even though I already had one at my local surgery) but apparently the one at the hospital will be better.

I had a
laparoscopy
in May and booked the holiday in early June only to discover the lap was purely investigative and I received no treatment. I am now still waiting to be seen ‘urgently’ by another consultant.

Where do you feel pain?
I'm currently waiting to have a lap to diagnose what I'm pretty confident is endo. I'm currently having 24/7 pain, this flare up has last about a month so far. I wanted to see if other people have similar pain - mine doesn't seem to generally be in my lower tummy like regular period pain. It tends

Difficult decision before a robot assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy planned for March
PSA 3.4. Gleason 7. MRI and biopsy diagnosed prostate carcinoma left lobe. In December 22 a PET/CT (238MBq F-18 PSMA) found moderate grade uptake involving the left peripheral zone of my prostate gland consistent with the known carcinoma and lower grade uptake involving the right lobe of my prostate

Endo interfering with nerves?
HiExtensive endo was found during my lap in June 2021 - ovaries, bowel, diaphragm etc. I had my right ovary and tube removed. Four increasingly painful periods later, I reluctantly took my gynae' s advice and went on prostap for a year. It was great in that it stopped my periods, but I felt that the

Spotting during cycle and laparoscopy for endometriosis
Hi guys, I am due to have a
laparoscopy
next week, I have infertility and probably endometriosis (blood filled cysts on ultrasound). The past few cycles I have had spotting for about 10 days before my period. Has anyone else had experience like this? Hoping my
laparoscopy
might help with this?

I had an exploratory
laparoscopy

I had a ultrasound done which showed that my fallopian tubes and ovaries looked quite stiff or immobile and that would be a sign of endometriosis covering them, but could only be sure after a

My GP prescribed me laxido to edal.lwith the severe trapped wind pain and reluctantly referred me for a
laparoscopy
but when I attended the appointment it was way too painful and I couldn't go ahead with the procedure.

Excision - is it worth it?
I have recently seen an endo specialist who advised I have a lap and excision after seeing my left ovary is stuck to my pelvic wall, I have a blocked tube and a nodule on my rectum seen on a TV ultrasound with a specialist sonographer. However, I am really worried I will get adhesions following excision

Pouch of Douglas - BSGE referral?
Hello, I've had another disappointing appointment post-Lap, where I again didn't see my actual consultant. This is in general gynae. The only thing I know is that they found one patch of endometriosis in my Pouch of Douglas and diagnosed Mild Endometriosis. I have been on Decapeptyl for a year, I'd had
