How quickly can endometrioma grow?
I have been diagnosed with a large endometrioma on my right ovary, and am currently on the waiting list for a
laparoscopy
. Until recently, most of my pain has been on my right side, in the middle of my abdomen, or in my pelvis.

When did you wear normal clothes post lap??!
I’m really finding normal trousers/leggings (forget jeans entirely!!) uncomfortable to wear still and am now 6 weeks post op. I just feel I am easily bloating despite trying all the recommended dietary advice and my incisions still feel tender when something pressing into them (I still have scabby areas

Pregnancy and Endometriosis
Just reaching out to other ladies going through FETs with Endometriosis before lap surgery. does anyone have any positive stories? If IVF doesn’t work out this year was going to look into Lap surgery. I am on the waiting list to see a gynaecologist, but the waiting list is a year ! In my area.

Endometriosis specialist recommendations please for ongoing care
The specialist consultant who performed my
laparoscopy
for endometriosis over a decade ago and provided aftercare advice has recently retired. I'm now looking for recommendations for who I can go to as needed for advice on my endometriosis in the future.

Dealing with erm, unwanted smells in bathroom!
So I'm on chemo yet again, and a more slightly light hearted post I guess, but when my hubby uses the bathroom for erm number 2's the smell just makes me wretch! 🤢 Even when I go number 2 myself actually makes me heave! I've tried various air freshners, but the smell of them combined with au' d'poo

1 week post-laparoscopy
I had a
laparoscopy
a week ago, endometriosis was found and some was removed. A mirena coil was fitted. I was told they will do a biopsy, I understand that is a routine requirement, but I'm a bit scared as I haven't been told much.

hysteroscopy
I was admitted to hospital two night ago for severe pain due to my endometriosis. The last consultant decided to tell me my endometriosis doesn’t exist and it’s all in my head. Apparently from hysteroscopy they found I have no endometriosis. Despite being diagnosed in 2017 via laporoscopy… is it possible

How were you 8 months Post-Op?
Happy New Year everyone! I’ve posted on here quite a bit, and have appreciated all the support I’ve been getting. I had my lap in May of 2023. Since then, I’ve started pelvic floor therapy. For the last 4 weeks, I’ve done bladder installations weekly. So installations one day then therapy the next.

post lap bleeding
I’ve had my
laparoscopy
(in more pain than before, hoping it’s just recovery!) but I’m bleeding so heavily. I’m only day 5 post but I never got told anything at the hospital, I asked if the bleeding was normal to the nurse and she just said “yep” and walked off.

Maternity clothes?
I'm having my next lap next Saturday, and was thinking about what loose clothes I have to wear post surgery. I don't really like loose clothes, but I have so much bloating with my endo / adeno that I am forever walking round at home with my jeans unbuttoned as it's so painful. It just occurred to me

First period after laparoscopy
Hi everyone, I am almost 2 weeks post lap, with endo removed. My question is, how was your first period after surgery? I came on a couple of days ago and the pain has been horrific, I’m also bleeding heavily. Is this normal and did it get better after this for you? My surgeon also said I have adenomyosis

Hello ladies! Happy New Year! I hope you are all ok. Just wanted to ask you how long after your lapararoscopy did you get your histology report? I am almost 3 weeks post lap in which they removed my left ovary and excised all the endo they could find/see. I haven't heard anything abour my histology results

new pain
hi all Just after a bit of advice. I had a lap in April which confirmed endo. The last 2 months or so I’ve developed this dull ache lower left abdo which sometimes radiates to left lower back. It’s not constant and sometimes feels more like a bruise if anything. I feel also I’m bloating much more again

Is it worth getting a second opinion?
Also, I have had a diagnostic
laparoscopy
, hysteroscopy and polypectomy all of which were clear and showed no signs of concern. However whenever I describe my troubles with my periods, everyone always queries if I have endometriosis. My periods are very painful, heavy and clotted.

Unexpected endometriosis
Has anyone got any advice for me please? I've just been in for a laproscopy to remove what they told me was a simple cyst on my ovary, only to find out they couldn't remove it because they found endometriosis so they have referred me to a specialist surgeon and are sending me for an MRI.The surgeon said

Restless legs/PSP
My 85 year old mum was diagnosed 4 weeks ago with psp. She's in a nursing home now and seems more comfortable reclined although the staff have a lap belt on her (which she hates) as she has been sliding out of chairs for the last few weeks. Her legs are constantly moving, does anyone have any advice/

Should I remove the bandages from my incisions for good?
Hello ladies. I am 2 weeks post my lap. I am healing well, no pain, but not so bouncy any more. Just wanted to ask you how long have you kept your incisions covered please? Mine are closed I think since there is no red tissue or open wounds just some scars like you have when your wound is healing. I
