Beta blockers and maximum heart rate ?
I've tried a quick "google search" and found a couple of formulae - e.g without B-blockers 206-(0.67 x age) With B-blockers 164 -(0.7 x age) This is obviously important in calculating heart rate targets to gain the most benefit from
fitness
training.

Visual Field Tests And Driving
Second, I found the DVLA "Guide to Assessing
Fitness
To Drive For Doctors. This lays out the legislation concerned. That can be found here - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/assessing-
fitness
-to-drive-a-guide-for-medical-professionals - only chapter 6 covers visual defects.

Sunday Long Run 🌧️
I have been continuing my training plan to increase my endurance and
fitness
by running three times a week. My runs are still HR based and vary in effort.

Struggling.. Again
I want to be accountable so I'm thinking about rejoining My
fitness
pal. But the last time I was on there I got overly obsessed with counting calories. Restricting a lot which I personally think contributed to developing an eating disorder. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Ooh, my
fitness
must be increasing!! That nice Mr Garmin has knocked 16 years off my age and my VO2 is now in the blue 'excellent' zone :) (part of my decision to run slow was to improve this. So yes, I am back.

Recommendations for a a fitness tracker
I have a Fitbit inspire 2 which does a good enough job of counting steps. What I'm looking for is something which will alert me when my heart rate reaches one or more thresholds that I set (going up and down would be ideal). Ideally, the alert would be an audible one.

#Walk1000Miles : How’s everyone doing?
And that’s what a challenge is for, to give you a challenging but realistic
fitness
target, right? And I’m doing ok, I’m ahead in mileage and a few weeks ago received my 750mile notification!

Back for the 3rd time
I decided to go out running 2 weeks ago, just to test my
fitness
levels, without any real plan of what I was going to do. My run was cut short due to bad blistering on my left heel after about 5 mins, I was about to just throw the running shoes away.

Growing Old Disgracefully but Sensibly!
I have been operating on the basis that my three runs per week, gradually extending distance, are enough to maintain the
fitness
levels I need. That has been true up to now, but maybe Monday was a helpful early warning that things need to change.

A 25 minute run 😊🏃♀️👍
I covered 3K on this run, which I was pleased with for my current level of
fitness
. I often try to speed up for the last km, which I did today - 7:35. I stopped at 3K, a few seconds short of 25 minutes. 😊👍🏃♀️☕️
