Eight months without period.

Background: not pregnant and no chance of being pregnant, 37 year old female and I’ve always had a period that would have 2-5 months in between them. It’s always just been my normal since I can even remember. I once went exactly a year without my period, but that’s been so long ago.

Jump to today, it’s been eight months since my last cycle this past April.

I have gained around 25ish pounds in that time, but wondering if anyone else’s cycle is like this at all. Could use some reassurance. I started to change my diet this past money in hopes to lose the weight. It feels like every time I lose weight, my period comes back and is semi normal.
