My mummy has a recurrence in her pelvic lymph nodes and para ortic lymph nodes. She’s completed 5 rounds of chemo. One more session to go. The first scan is showing a good response and we are grateful
I’m worried about what happens next.... I’m desperately hoping chemo will kill all the nasty cells but what happens if some a left behind? Will they simply regrow?
Also, we think mum is part of an immunotherapy trial which is for 2 years.... what happens after 2 years... do they simply pull the plug on the drug or do they continue to give it if it’s working?
Any help gratefully received
Love to you all and best wishes xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for your response. Really appreciate it xx
Mum originally had stage 2 grade 1 and was given the all clear 3 years ago.
It’s now come back in her pelvic lymph nodes and para ortic lymph nodes. She’s finished 6 cycles of chemo and is on an immunotherapy trial but doesn’t actually know if she’s receiving the immunotherapy drug or placebo. They won’t tell her! 😞
Mum has her scan next week and I think results the week after. We are desperately praying it works in zapping it all up. The prognosis on the internet is so depressing and makes me despair at the thought of losing mum
Enough of my moans Margaret. How are you? Hope you are well
