in sept 2023 i had a gastric bypass and have lost over 100 lbs in a bit over a year. while I was prepared for the physical changes, post surgery and my body changing what I have been most surprised about is my emotional mental health changes. I have always had depression since I was in my early 20s and now this weight loss has certainly exacerbated my depression. Odd , you would think I would be delightfully Happy to have lost 100 pounds! but my new found emotions are sneaking out in all different kinds of ways. I guess I used to eat them all or maybe they were stored in my fat . has anyone else experienced this? would love to chat.

Hello! How are you now? I remember my friend had very similar emotional conditions after bariatric surgery. She was suffering from depression before the surgery, and she hoped it should be all gone after the weight loss. But sadly, her emotional condition somehow got even worse. She worked with psychologist a lot. And the doctor also helped her to find online communities where she had a lot of support from people who had the same surgery. Also it was important to follow a special diet and bariatric vitamins like these nutra-harmony.com/products/..., but I guess you already know that. It took quite a long time for her to find herself and her inner harmony. But everything will be okay, I really hope this advice will help you too. Try to get some professional help and look for some bariatric program blogs 🫶
