Is a fruit only diet the best way to lose weight? and is it a balanced diet?

I heard that eating only fruit is not good. Although fruit is rich in many things, it will not provide a balanced diet - it will not cover the whole spectrum of nutrients that the body needs.

Stay away from extreme solutions, thats my advice! All this talk of no carbs, or only fruit, or only vegetables... no one ever sticks to these regimes and besides, they are very anti-social as if you eat with your family or friends it means you cant have what everyone else is eating. Better to simply show moderation...

Personally, I need some more calories. If not meat then avocadoes. they are full of calories and give you energy to go for along walk.

No. Thought fruits are natures candy, it will not be a balanced diet. To start with cut down a bit on your meals. Slowly reduce the deserts n chocolates and try to have them only once a while. If you crave for sweet try having dates, dry apricots. One can gradually learn to like it. The idea is to be in control. Hope this helps!
