Tonight I cooked spaghetti bolognaise. It was delicious. I used plenty of garlic and very small lentils in a jar which I found in the local shop. Apart from the usual I added some charred peppers from a jar and a splash of red wine which made a rich sauce. It was delicious and nicer than the one I make at home so I was very pleased as it’s not always so easy cooking when you are abroad and don’t have all the herbs and spices to hand.

Thats a really good idea, having it in glass jars, to be honest most of my pulses are from tins, not a fan of dried pulses, you can get them in the those cartons but they have an aluminum style linning
What fabulous ingredients Ali and it looks so tasty, love the idea of charred peppers. I honestly thought you must be back home as you cooked so well done on cooking whilst a way in a foreign country.
