Hi,
I did post a while back about the dreadful ATOS assessment my son had in September. Even though he had been in hospital the week before the so called Dr did not want to know and refused to even look at recent medical evidence we took with us. He even told me we would have to appeal as the "decision makers" would consider my son fit for work as he could drive. I immediately sent a complaint to Atos who took it so seriously they sent an investigation team from Manchester to Essex to interview us then the GP. Some points were dismissed as I could not prove comments the GP made (ie, Gipsies cannot read or write!!! and saying if my son wanted to commit suicide it was his choice to make " . However they found against the GP as he had not taken the latest, really important medical evidence into account or taken note or made any reference in his so called report to my sons mental health or the relapse he was having with vasculitis. They apologised and said they would write to DWP and tell them the medical was not carried out correctly and the medical evidence put before the GP had not been considered. From the recent letter from DWP it appears my son is to remain in the support group. What a farce.
