Does anyone get a pain, tightness in their n... - Vasculitis UK
Does anyone get a pain, tightness in their neck, just at their left collar bone? It feels like a vein is twisted? It lasted all yesterday?
I have been getting this on and off for ages but I don't know what causes it.
thanks, it is sore. I also get the same sensation in the top of my right leg.
I have CSS and experienced sharp pain top of left shoulder near to neck recently. Could hardly move arm. Saw a new GP to practice who thought frozen shoulder but reluctant to treat due to my condition, which he wasn't familiar with. I was seeing my consultant a week later so just had pain relief. Previous to this, over approx 3 months, had gradual increase of spots then lesions appearing on nose/lower forehead and weakening of legs. A fewl days after seeing GP about shoulder, I suddenly developed pain in stomach and thought indigestion but over a couple of days felt burning sensation across chest. Left shoulder pain went but changed to right shoulder. This was followed by increased activity and pain in both arms similar to first presentation. 999 to A&E (a Sunday) and fast-tracted to resus. dept., heart ok. Given pain relief (morphine) and admitted. Saw ward Doc Monday morning who said it was a flare and going only one way according to blood tests. 40 mg steroids prescribed, bloods stabilised but my consultant increased mycophenolate 1000mg to 1500mg twice daily. Two weekly bloods for now and see consultant in a month. Have suggested to consultant that because my CSS was a late diagnosis, and even though a slight blip in routine 2 monthly bloods showed no cause for alarm, earlier intervention may be necessary should such flare markers/indicators occur in future. I seem to have avoided Cyclophos by the skin of my teeth, though my consultant would have put me on it immediately had he known I'd been admitted.
Thats funny me too, but both legs[not usually at the same time]
I get it too, it usually develops into a cramp! I have started to massage my neck which seem to help.
I have had WG with lung and kidney problems for nearly 11 years. I've had some bad times, some better times but I've never been in complete remission. I was at the hospital Friday and they rang tonight to say they need to see me at 11am tomorrow. Goodness knows whats wrong now!
