Are there any benefits that can be claimed once on ill-health retirement pension? Continue ESA for example?

I was on esa before I was medically retired and I continue to receive it and I get an ill health pension too. Remember to inform esa that you are receiving a pension as it may alter what is paid to you.

Hi I take claims for esa so my understandin g esa income based is assesed on all household income eg you and partners income any saving and benefits some saving can be ignored. Contribution based esa ( to qualify for contribution based have to paid the right amount through ni contributions through employment or self employment. over the last 2 tax years Legisalation changes mean that the contribution element is only available for up to 365 days unless you are placed in the support group ie peoplewho usually have been given less than 5 months to live or extrmemly disabled hope this helps

i have just had an esa tribunal and the appeal has been adjourned on 29th june 2012 about my entitlment to esa and my ill health pension in the income base part of esa if your ill heath pension is £100 a week and esa is £85 aweek = £15 devided by 2 = £7.50 - £85 = a weekley amount of £68.50 esa a week
