Hi Hender79: I wish I were a doctor, but I am not. I did, however, come across this link I have for rashes as I am very prone to them myself. Perhaps it can help you identify what you and your boyfriend have. No matter what it is, it must be identified and treated by a doctor. BOTH of you need to have it looked at by your GP and let him help you identify what you both have. You were smart to take this photo and I would continue to take photos daily or if you see obvious change. Date them so the doctor can see the progression. You would be surprised how much it helps the doctor identify what it is by the time he gets to see you. Do not count on it just disappearing, as it may be a sign of what is to come which could be worse.

You did not give a whole lot of history on yourself. What are you diagnosed with? What meds are you on? Where do you live? UK/US/Various Others? Lots of variables and specifics.

Here is the link: bing.com/images/search?q=me...

Cut and paste it into your own browser. Medscape is a wonderful source.

Good luck on your journey.

Warm wishes,

Hi SandieB: I thought about Shingles, but I've had Shingles and that rash is extremely painful, which these patients did not mention. Utilizing my "mom" skills, I think it looks like "herpes", which is highly contagious. It really needs to be seen and diagnosed by a doctor or at least a nurse practitioner. Pick up that phone and make an appointment for two.

Warm wishes,

Dear Hender79,

I can't say for sure, what it is/isn't, but please, please, please DO have this 'checked out'! If only to be able to say 'Andrew you silly old fool, there was absolutely nothing to worry about'- I have to say that I wouldn't mind at all!

I send you and your boyfriend, my very best wishes. By the by if it IS shingles, which I personally doubt it is, this can, for 'auto-immune' patient anyway, be very dangerous indeed.

Please let me, us all, know will you?

AndrewT
