Yes me too - I use a headset and that seems to work for me at least
Hi Buddy, Im a nurse and I work in a clinic and have to take calls several times an hour. My workmates are now used to seeing my aid all over the place and also frequently tell me to switch it off as it "sings"on my desk.I lose it for hours sometimes I n the13 yrs I have had WG, I have broken several of my aids and I m certain this is due to flicking the power on and off to take and make calls. I agree very annoying, I thought digital aids could be used to take calls but I cant with mine
Thank you Llinos you have put my mind at rest in that respect. At the moment have only 1 h/aid as hearing loss was total in left ear.Saw audiology last week as i felt changes were happening. They confirmed that some hearing was returning to left ear and there was slight deterioration in right "good "ear. They had a wee bit to play with and managed to increase volume slightly in right ear.I won't get benefit of improvement in left ear till aid is ready which will be 3-5 weeks. They inform me that these fluctuations in hearing loss are common in wg sufferers.Unfortuneately even with 2 h/aids will still be unable to use phones as once i remove h/aids i don't have enough level of hearing to converse with a caller. Sorry for going on a wee bit but the site is the only place i seem to get answers for this type of query. Thank you john
Hi John, I have exactly the same problem, I have 2 HA and I have to take 1 out when using phones, I find when I have a flare ( which at the moment is around once a month ) my hearing " goes down " even more than it is already,it is most inconveniant, and like Linos I don,t always remember where I,ve put my HA . Just another trial to contend with.and just to lighten the mood I have the same problem once I,ve taken my glasses of where I,ve put those .
Sorry is it John or should I have said Buddy 70,
