Memory loss is a real problem.i have CSS DX2012 is it meds or illness or age.just turned 60
Hi Lync,
Welcome to my world! I too have CSS and my memory is shocking! Diagnosed in 2008 and , since that time, I seemed to have "pockets" of memory loss where I can't remember stuff from prior to the diagnosis. Very frustrating!
Even now my family are astounded when I can't remember what I've said/asked/told them etc only that same day. I really have no memory of it and it (scarily) seems to be happening more and more.
I'm not sure if it's age/meds/illness? My memory was something I prided myself on prior to becoming ill.
I'm early 50's by the way. There's no hope for me!
didn't you both discuss this the other day?
Lol lol Roobub,I cannot remember.
I see my children's faces sometimes and its the only thing that reminds me that I have asked that same question or said something stupid.its a very big reason why I could not go back to work.as well as feeling like death warmed up most days .
Yes I have noticed that my memory has deteriorated too and I'm 49. At the last vasculitis AGM the speaker on links between vasculitis and fatigue said that there was evidence that it affected cognitive abilities too including memory. Bit depressing really!
It may also be the drugs that you are on? I can remember very little about last summer, and that included my husband's seventieth birthday and a week in Scotland with our son and his family! When I came off the methotrexate, my memory returned.....or some of it did, I think...... We saw an old friend at Christmas, who had also seen me in the summer. Her winter comment was 'hey, the brain is back' . She has since told me that I seemed completely vacant in the summer and she was really concerned that my brain was gone for good. So, another good reason for checking that the drugs you are on are the best for you?
