I’ve had pain, loss of hearing and Tinnitus since July last year, after my AstraZeneca jab. A flare that just hasn’t gone away.
A nasal sore that hasn’t healed for 3 years, has become very painful.
I’m now waiting for an urgent ENT appointment to check for Cancer. I’m so scared. The 3 day Steriods haven’t touched the pain. None of my mast Cell drugs have.
Has anyone else had nasal sores like this? I feel sick with worry.

Hi Redfleur. Sorry you are having such worrying issues. I do get sores inside my nose, although mine usually heal after a week or so. Hope you have had your ENT appointment by now, and have found some relief.I was advised by ENT consultant that my sores were due to nasal polyps, benign. A steroid nasal spray helps, as does a saline sinus wash. I would emphasise that this should not be used until after ENT investigation, though. Three years is a long time to have such an issue, so Wishing you well.
Might be worth trying Balmonds lavender balm. They also do a tea tree balm. I've had painful/mucus/bleeding nasal infections in the past initially caused by sea diving. I used an antibiotic treatment prescribed by GP for the first one but for the next couple of flare ups I used the Balmonds balm. Liberal amounts applied daily on the sore. Worked really well and not had it since. Chuckling Goat CG oil is also excellent for infections but it's very strong so I would only use that for external. Even heavily diluted I think it may be too much for inside the nose. I feel for you with the tinnitus, mine is caused by poor dental related bone healing (mast cell related?). Got rid of it in 1999 with surgery, returned in 2012 when I had very bad dental abscess. I hope the ENT specialist can provide some support.
Many thanks for the replies. It’s so helpful to get tips. We end up becoming the experts. My GP completely stressed me out. He actually shouted at me for leaving it so long. First time I’ve seen him and the last.
I’ve been given antibiotic cream and saline wash.
It’s just so frustrating when doctors don’t understand mast cell.
I must try and get to see a specialist as my meds aren’t working.
