Statement on COVID-19 Vaccinations

Hooray! Our terrific medical advisors have come together and agreed a statement to help our community think about their COVID-19 vaccinations. As we can't make attachments here, you'll need to download it from our website at ukmasto.org/COVID-19. Please feel free to download it, print it, email it to your GP etc if you need to, share it onward.

We will of course update it as we gather more info from our survey and when other vaccines become available in the UK.

Thank you. This will be very useful to take to vaccine centre, as I generally find HCPs err on the side of caution when they have no knowledge of mast cell disorders, and choose the ‘safe option’ of doing nothing. I so want to have the hope of some freedom that vaccination will give.

I think you're right. We have had a few people turned away, so it may be helpful to the doctors on site to have some additional information.
