I use whey protein, kefir and frozen berries in the blender and make protein shakes all the time. Not only is it delicious, it helps keep my blood sugar regulated. I also use the Premier Protein box shakes available at Costco and grocery stores for the same reason. My labs have been good and my doctors are pleased with my weight. Best wishes to you.
Thanks for the info, I’m going to make this. Witch whey product do you use.
I don't remember the brand name. I'm at work right now so I can't check -- but will when I get home -- but it's a red, gold and black foil-like bag. I get it at Costco where it runs about $50, but lasts at least six months. I comes in both chocolate and vanilla, but I always get the vanilla as I prefer that with the berries, or occasionally frozen peaches and pineapple. I use about a cup of the kefir, one scoop of the powder and up to a cup of the frozen fruit.
Thank you for checking I’m out 3 1/2 years. Need to take control for better health, weight lose
Sorry for the delay -- had a busy weekend celebrating my birthday with my family. The protein powder is Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% whey protein. One scoop provides 24g protein, 120 calories, 1g fat, 105mg sodium, 4g carbohydrate, 130mg calcium and 150mg potassium. They recommend mixing it with 6-8 oz (200-250ml) of water or your favorite liquid, adjusting for taste. If you want it bolder and sweeter, us less liquid; for milder flavor, use a bit more. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me.
