J'ai ne suis pas misérables!

Last night was one of the greatest nights of my life. I have been VERY depressed recently but we went to see Les Misérables at the Queen's theatre in London. This was only the second time I had been to the old smoke for theatre... well third if you count the time we had to go back to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang because the car broke down in the first performance (the car in the play I must add!). We got to see Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean and now I can FINALLY say I have seen Les Misérables!

BEST OF ALL I only had motor tics all night. We were sat right at the back of the circle, with a great view, but without anyone behind me, I was able to writhe around to my hearts' content! I missed a few parts of the play thanks to my eyes deciding they would rather be rolled back into my head and my neck jerking constantly for about 20 minutes but apart from that there were no problems.

I will admit though, as soon as I left the theatre, that is when the Tourettes decided to come loud again. I don't know if it was because I was so absorbed in the play (I have memorised every piece and know what notes are played) but when the music stopped.... 'HONK'. Well not honk as in the word but a loud honking sound... a bit like a goose. We then got on the Piccadilly line (cue PICCADILLY tics) towards Cockfosters... whenever I see the name Cockfosters hoo boy is it going to be interesting... I don't think anyone needs an idea of the sort of tics that come out of such a name!

But to wrap it up it was a great night, and now I am letting my body tic to it's heart's content. My Tourettes behaved itself last night so it deserves a bit of freedom!

It sounds like just the therapy you needed. Something I worry about it going to concerts/ cinema etc as my TS is quite vocal at times.

I usually get very loud in cinemas but like I said I think I got so absorbed into the music I didn't even think of tics! If it was a musical that I didn't know the whole score of I would have ticced!
