Knowledge on tics and Tourette’s syndrome

My son is 8 years old, he got diagnosed with ADHD, currently on medication for this only during school time which has made a massive improvement in he’s work, but he also has a stammer, he see the speech and language on a regular basis who has picked up on my son doing tics, the school also mentioned they have noticed it since year 1!! He has now been referred to look into this. Could someone give me some information on what to expect at this appointment? Please.
