Pleased to meet you all!

Good morning,

I’ve had tinnitus for about 2 months now which started after exercise (a run). I’ve seen a ETN specialist. I will be going back in a couple of weeks as it now is also pulsative (heartbeat). My sleep has never been great for a while and like many, I have my fair share of stress in life as well.

It’s great to meet you all. Any thoughts or advice would be warmly received. Thanks in advance.

welcome to the place non-one wants to be in!

Your first port of call would be the website of Tinnitus UK. There are many ways to help yourself shown there, and you can browse through posts here to see what others have said.

At first it’s hard to see how you can improve, but the brain eventually gets tired of alerting you to the sounds it makes and you become habituated.

And don’t believe any “cures” you might see online.

Thank you and appreciated.

Hello....please reach out to Julian Cowan Hill on You Tube, he has a website and an app 'Quieten' he explains clearly what this condition is and how to deal with it and lessen it, for many it goes away, please avoid negative forums, you can get a free months trial with his app, he had T for a very long time and doesnt have it anymore, he has gone on to treat 100s of people, T is a stress response from the body and whatever is causing T needs to be addressed, but the T can soften or go, we have to be proactive, Julian is someone i recommend as the Tinnitus UK website doesnt acknowledge some holistic alternative/complimentary therapies as they havent been medically proven, however this is not to say that they cant help many people as they do, myself included, so we have to be aware that whilst it may be a source of information it is not wholly beneficial.
