I was diagnosed 18month ago.I have bilateral hearing aids.

Ive rrcently been to a clinic regarding balance. My balance they said was ok.

What Im really struggling with is the Constant noise in my ears.

I have Pulsatile tinitus. Also hear the whoosing high pitched whistle etc. I dont sleep. Its constant and Im struggling to deal with this.

Im off work at the moment. Im struggling to work because of lack of concentration.

I just dont think I can put up with this.

Ive read everything. Ive tried meditation all the tips. Nothing seems to work.

I have a high rise bulge which Im told is the cause of the pulsatile tinitus.

from what you say that you’ve tried all the tips. So you know about tinnitus and I expect you are familiar with all the information that is contained on the website of Tinnitus UK, the specialist charity?

Habituation to the phantom noise that is tinnitus can take a lot of time. How long have you been suffering with this?

Do you find the hearing aids help you detect noise/sound you can't hear without them? I've found two hearing aids allow me to hear missing sounds that my natural hearing has lost and that 'drowns' the ringing out. This (after about a year) has allowed me to begin to habituate and come to terms with the T noise - so now I can wake up and live with the T when the ha are still charging. I still use a masker sometimes at night, but the ha after time have allowed adaptation in my case. I know everyone is an individual in the journey to masking.

No the hearing aids dont really work. I dont think. HoweverI did hear after having a new Washing machine the bell that alerts to say the washer finished. I am worse at night and first thing when I wake up its awful. Ive been so active and happy. Now I feel So unhappy. In a miserable world of buzzing high pitched screeching amd my heartbeat pulse just banging away all day long.

I'm sorry to hear that. I find if I take my ha out the world goes "dull/flat" for my hearing - can barely hear birds, radio in background significantly drops in volume, can't hear wife speaking easily. In my experience it took me time to still forget the T noise (I'm still on the journey to habituating, not there by any means) when I first got the HA, and T still spikes now and then.

I know each experience is different and I do hope you find a coping mechanism that works soon.

What type of masker do you use at night? I have hearing aids but they don’t mask out my T.

I've had the same thing for six months after Microsuction. Constantly eee…eee. The noise generators don't help. Before, I was a very active person, now I have trouble concentrating even on easy tasks. I know one thing, you can't give up. Maybe doctors will find a medication for this soon.
