What is hearing loss, how does the ear work and understanding your symptoms

I recommend this course from HealthUnlocked.

healthunlocked.com/programs...

One of the first steps to coping with Tinnitus, Hyperacusis etc. is understanding the basics. I've found having a level of understanding supports me when trying strategies. It's also helpful to revisit at time to time or get an understanding from a different perspective. Although I should add be wary of the charlatans out to make a profit from our misfortune.

This came up on my Healthunlocked feed, so I know it's going to be genuine and reliable information. Whilst it's specific to hearing loss, which may be the main cause of our condition, but I've gone through the first few sections about how 'our hearing works' and I think it beneficial to anyone regardless of cause.

Hope it helps!

Thanks Dave this is brilliant. Certainly worth a read by all on here. I am fortunate to have a wonderful Audiologist at my local hospital who has covered most of the points in this article but good to have it all written down to keep. Did the quiz at the end and scored 13/15 so a pat on the back for me!!
