I've had a type of tinnitus called Musical ear syndrome for a few months now. I'm a musician and would like to hear from any musicians out there suffering from this horrible experience.
Also any one else that suffers from it of course .
Is there anything that makes it go away ?

Hi I'm not a musician but I used to get something like that. I'd lay in bed and hear sounds like the radio was on music playing, even talking. It wasn't. It didn't actually bother me I would just listen to it. I didn't realise then that it was actually a form of tinnitus. Now I've got your typical tinnitus, white noise, whistling etc, which I'd rather swop. A lot less interesting!
Hi I`m not a musician but all my life I have loved music and am very often humming and singing to myself. I`ve had musical tinnitus now for nearly three years. Previous to that I developed pulsatile tinnitus along with a few more noises in 2015 after having a virus.
It was very difficult at first and I was very depressed about it but eventually it became quieter and I tended to ignore it most of the time. Then when I gained music as well that was a bit upsetting but I soon got used to that too.
Funny thing with my musical tinnitus is that if I don`t like the tune I can change it just by thinking about or singing another tune.
Hopefully you will find a way to manage yours. Good Luck.
